Okay so I was wrong about my reasons for us fallin out of love I want to fall back in.
– The Avett Brothers

I can’t think of anything to post for changing season. literally, in my country, there’s only the rainy and sunny season… all damp and humid. but one can know the season with how we celebrate holidays or festivities, throughout the country. for instance, when it is the holy week (March or April), Filipinos reflect and have processions so the atmosphere is serious or sad; come in May where there are Santa Cruzan, places are full of flowers and parades; in November we celebrate like the Americans during Halloween and goes to the cemeteries… and ofcourse, the most celebrated season… Christmas!!!

so here is my change in season– it’s Christmas!!!

last christmas was sad due to an uncontrollable situation, this coming one will also be probably be sad… but right now, as in december 15, 2012 past midnight, i’m sitting just under our little christmas tree listening to the Avett Brothers –thinking that Jesus is all about love.

I knew this band because I read a book that used their music as reference. and they’re great!

Imagine me, sitting on the floor in front of that laptop, all dark and listening to this song. I suggest you read/sing-along. Forgive me for passing you the tears. LOL!

even if i’m broken and all, love is something we can’t live without. i love to love.

Here is the video and its lyrics. Enjoy!

Love writes a letter and sends it to Hate:
“My vacation,s ending, I’m coming home late
The weather was fine and the ocean was great
And I can’t wait to see you again”

Hate reads the letter and throws it away
“No one here cares if you go or you stay
I barely even noticed that you were away
I’ll see you or I won’t, whatever”

Love sings a song as she sails through the sky
The water looks bluer through her pretty eyes
And everyone knows it whenever she flies
And also when she comes down

Hate keeps his head up and walks through the street
Every stranger and drifter he greets
And shakes hands with every loner he meets
With a serious look on his face

Love arrives safely with suitcase in toe
Carrying with her the good things we know
A reason to live and a reason to grow
To trust, to hold, to care

Hate sits alone on the hood of his car
Without much regard to the moon or the stars
Lazily killing the last of a jar
Of the strongest stuff you can drink

Love takes a taxi, a young man drives
As soon he sees her hope fills his eyes
But tears follow after at the end of the ride
Because he might never see her again

Hate gets home lucky to still be alive
He screams over the sidewalk and into the drive
The clock in the kitchen says two-fifty-five
And the clock in the kitchen is slow

Love has been waiting patient and kind
Just wanting a phone call or some kind of sign
That the one that she cares for who’s out of his mind
Will make it back safe to her arms

Hate stumbles forward and leans in the door
Weary head hung down, eyes to the floor
He says, “Love, I’m sorry,” and she says, “What for?
I’m yours and that’s it, whatever
I should not have been gone for so long
I’m yours and that’s it, forever
Your mine and that’s it, forever”

i can’t explain how i feel. i’m tired but i’m eager to know things… ah life. i wish i could understand you more.

music, poetry… thank you lord for these.

  1. Love the song … Love is important for us and our lives, but it doesn’t always have the love between man and woman. I don’t have a partner in my life – I’m happy. I found love with my friends, my mum … my travel, my music .. and my shoes.
Nothing wrong with crying neither, so long as there is more laughter’s in our lives than tears.
And you should listen to music that makes you happy … and want to dance. There is love in dancing too.

  2. actually, i followed your advice. i’m now a directioner. hahaha!
my friend actually influenced me to listen to boyband music. when i was younger i was a boyband fanatic.
and my daughter actually is a fan of them. whenever she hears their song, she’ll say “mommy, yung favorite ko” / “mommy, my favorite song!”

i downloaded their concert in my phone, i was working from home when i suddenly heard my daughter sing “i want, i want!”… funny moments.

thanks viveka for always boosting me up!🙂
    hugs!!!!

  3. Charm, my pleasure .. I think you’re a brilliant young mum and woman – that had it rough and tough for quite a while – and things will get better … I promise you! I’m old enough to know.
