an encounter with jean valjean

“To love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of life.”
― Victor Hugo, Les Misérables

just watched les miserables the movie with my movie buddy and if having to cry over this film is a crime, then i am guilty, but i know i am only one of the many whi shed tears and who have been noved by this movie.

i have read this in high school. and i must say that this work of art has been one of the most celebrated, portrayed and played literature. not fond of the cast per se and not really a movie critic but i think they gave justice to the story.

i still remember the scene when fantine died, when ephonine heartbreak over marius, when the kid died, and when jean valjean died– these are the scenes that made me a cry baby. lol.

now, i’m curious on the theather play. i wish i have the sources and means to watch such artistry.

bottomline: a film really worth watching.

  1. Only heard good reviews about the movie … some actors in it. Look forward to see … haven’t open in Sweden yet, but I will wait until I can watch it at home. I’m such a sad person!
