  47. Charm, news of the rains and flooding in your part of the world is JUST now reaching me here – so are you okay as far as that goes? Not knowing where you are, I’ll be hoping that mess hasn’t affected you much.

  48. yeah. actually, we’ve worked from home for the past two days ’cause almost 50% of metro manila was flooded. three years ago, manila was also devastated by rain and flood but due to a typhoon (named “ondoy” and “pepeng”). our apartment was flooded whole on the first floor, luckily for us, we have a 2nd floor. my hubby and brother was stranded. i was in the province about to give birth when this happened, if i hadn’t filed an early maternity leave, i would probably gave birth in the flood 🙂

    This time it was only due to a monsoon, we were caught off-guard. fortunately, our weather system works that people were advised beforehand to evacuate. problem is, many families are living along rivers, lakes and dams, still many people are affected.
